Howard Haskell Slater, 77, passed away October 7, 2015, born August 4, 1938, beloved husband for over 54 years of Carol nee Leff; loving father of Neil Slater, Elisa Slater Harmon (John Harmon) and Traci Slater Capp (Ed Capp); adored grandfather of Katie and Dylan Capp; devoted son of the late Sol and Kate Slater; brother of Sue Slater Berman (David Berman). Howard was a successful Options Trader in Chicago. His greatest joy in life was his family. Chapel service Friday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
